5 Amazing November Events Not To Miss in College Station

student going to school

College Station is an exceptional place to call home while you attend Texas A&M University especially when it comes to current events in November.

Wind Serenades

The Wind Serenades take place in the Rudder Auditorium. It’s an event put on by the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra. You’re already at school and this is a moving cultural experience that you do not want to miss. Bring along someone that is special to you, dress up a bit, and enjoy beautiful music. This is an annual event that’s taken place for more than 40 years. If you attend Texas A&M University, you need to see it at least once to really get an understanding of its importance in culture.

Main Street Holiday Market

Check out the Main Street Holiday Market at the Brazos County Expo Center. College students still need to shop for gifts for family and friends. They can also get in the mood for the holidays by checking out these types of events. This particular market is a lot of fun. It offers a range of fun vendors selling artisan items. There is also food and drinks available to help make the experience even more festive. If you are struggling to get into the mood for the holidays this year, a visit to the market is an easy way to do it. Bonus – it’s likely you can get all of your holiday shopping done here at one time and spend less than shopping at any mall.

Learning & Libations: Fall Flavors Cocktail Class

So you may not mind having a drink every now and then (you’re over 21 for this event). Perhaps you want to head home this winter break and show off your skills by making a few cocktails. Get some friends together to go to the Learning & Libations: Fall Flavors Cocktail Class. It is a fun way to spend some time and learn a bit, too. You will learn how to create cocktails including plenty of them that have fall flavors including a hot apple pie sangria that is sure to warm you up on the coolest of days. There is no cost for this event either (it’s free education!) However, you do have to RSVP in advance.

Kick-off to Christmas in College Station

It’s time to kick off the holidays and College Station does it well. It happens Friday, November 12th. There will be 20 or more vendors on-site to offer goodies of all types. While you may be a bit too old for Santa, he’s arriving that day to greet the city and that is something you may just want to be a part of. There are also live music performances by local bands, which make for a good way to relax and have some fun. You can also find lots of specials, refreshments, and fun to be had here as well. 2021 BCS Turkey Trot

Do you feel like getting outdoors and doing something good while you do so? If you don’t have anything happening Thanksgiving morning, check out the 2021 BCS Turkey Trot. Each year, more than 1500 people participate in the event. It’s a family tradition – and could be a college tradition for you, too. It’s a family-friendly atmosphere and the race itself can be challenging. It’s a simple 5K run around the neighborhoods in Bryan, nearby to the school. You’ll get a free t-shirt for participating in the event. There’s no timing for the event. It’s just for fun. However, the proceeds from it go to support Mercy Project, making this a meaningful way to give back.

College Station’s current events are always changing. You may see a few new things pop up in the city as the holidays get a bit closer. For November, these are some of the best experiences you’ll have. It’s still warm enough to get outside and have some fun between classes.
